Summer Short Set is a branded entertainment series consisting of spec videos showcasing brands as authentic elements of our audience’s lifestyle. Our form of story telling is character driven—integrating the brand into the narrative prominently yet subtly. Each episode is meant to be entertaining and create consumer loyalty by presenting the brand as a patron to the culture.
 
Investing in the culture positions the brand to become a lifestyle choice instead of simply a trend. Brands are at their strongest when their consumers believe in the brand’s underlying values and associated identity. Brands instill such beliefs when they communicate their message in a way that pays homage to the consumer’s culture. In turn, once they believe, consumers exemplify the brand’s qualities, thus positioning them to be unofficial brand ambassadors.
 
Through mediums such as the Summer Short Set, brands commission stories that speak to the passions of their target market, establishing a connection that extends beyond the point of consumption.

The Woman From Bushburg is a black angel who glides down Knickerbocker Avenue on her Lamborghini Cruiser. Her humility refines her movement. Her modesty ignites her allure. On the final day of summer, on her final fantastic voyage, The Woman From Bushburg was a portrait of heavenly grace.

The Essentials, A collaboration between Jon Genius and D. Clark featuring Chick-fil-A and Virtuous Vessels.

 The Essentials Diet:

  • Vigorous workouts that include cardio, light weights and the core ball
  • Daily devotional prayer
  • 90’s R&B iTunes playlists
  • Occasional trips to Chick-fil-A

If that fourth principle sounds ridiculous, no worries, you’re probably right. In weak moments, we seek happiness. We indulge in guilty pleasures. But if you’re working out and studying the Good Book, how bad can nuggets made of whole breast meat gently submerged in a velvety batter, dipped in sizzling peanut oil, resulting in a soft crispiness that always makes you want one more corner bite, be.

Copper Tweed ~ Summer Cider
A whole lot of Bulleit Bourbon, 750ml+A couple handfuls of World Table Praline Pecans, 8ozA pear or two, pealed and sliced  
Pour ingredients into a glass container with a spigot. Mix. Cover. Stir every 6 hours or so. Taste every 10 to 12 hours to measure intensity of infusion. Infuse no more than 3 days but the longer the sweeter.



Remove pears and pecans once infusion is complete. Serve as an appetizer or as a drink garnish.

As our contribution to a brunch hosted at a friend’s home, we prepared Copper Tweed, a pear and praline pecaninfusion of Bulleit Bourbon. Producing Without Compromise was an ideal opportunity to place a brand we are passionate about before a collection of cultured consumers, exposing them to a bourbon like no other.

The brands, Nike and Fresh Connection, were chosen for placement in FRESH because though the brands dates of establishment are decades apart, together they are timeless. Together, they possess both an aesthetic excellence and a symbolic connection to success. We all want to take off from the free throw line. Nail the game winner when rings are on the line. And look magnificent while doing so.

Love and Love represents the production simplicity employed by this generation of creators: cast three friends, grab a couple of cameras, and repurpose local sites as locations for the shoot. Love and Love demonstrates that stripping the production process down to its essential elements does not compromise quality. The output is a raw, yet refined piece of pop art.
